World Heritage Day Speech

I Welcome our respected Chief Guests and Dear Audiences - 99th Seminar of our Radhakrishna Cultural Committee! I am your host for today - Geeta Shukla - and for the last four years I am an active part of this committee.

Friends, since we are all present here, I have great desire to give a speech on World Heritage Day, because somewhere I feel that people experience their national cultural heritage as well as the feeling of detachment globally. It is very necessary to develop and preserve the sense of pride on our national cultural heritage so that it can be blessed to appreciate the cultural property of our country.

Before I explain the importance of World Heritage Day, please let me first highlight what exactly is the world heritage site. A world heritage site has been classified as a man-made or natural building or area, which is of global importance and is a special place which requires special attention and security. Such sites are officially accepted by the United Nations as well as UNESCO, which is known as United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization. According to UNESCO, these sites have been classified as World Heritage and with great importance for humanity as well as physical and cultural importance.

On this day, therefore, wants to spread awareness about the challenges faced by the authorities in preserving the World Heritage Sites. This year 2017 has allowed communities to come together and celebrate the extreme influence of lasting tourism and how it can strengthen communities and inform the public.

Please do not be surprised when I say that there are approximately 1,052 world heritage sites. Of these, 814 come under the cultural category, 203 are considered natural and 35 are a mixture of both. Approximately 55 sites in Bethlehem are constantly in danger, including the birthplace of Jesus, the Church of the Nativity and the Pilgrimage Route.

Conclusion

Heritage is the real Gold of any country or place. We must save our heritage place and architectures to keep it alive for our children. We should aware people about World Heritage Day to save our heritage places.
